The Blue Castle is a 1926 novel written by L.M. Montgomery about Valancy Stirling, an unhappy, unmarried, 29-year-old woman who breaks away from her oppressive family when she discovers she only has one year to live.
- The Blue Castle is the only novel written by L.M. Montgomery that is entirely set outside Prince Edward Island. The novel takes place in Deerwood, Muskoka, Ontario, based on the town of Bala, Ontario, which Mongomery visited in 1922.
